Free Boondocking (BLM). Approx. 6 miles South of Wall, SD on Highway 240. Look for cell towers or RVs up on a ridge on the East side of 240. Turn East on unmarked dirt road. Drive approx. ½ mile and you will be on a ridge which overlooks the Badlands. Road is bumpy and rutted in places. We were in a 33 ft. class A with a toad and had no problems. If the road is muddy in spots, drive off the road in the grass. Plenty of places to park with plenty of space between campers. Due to a medical condition and medical equipment, I needed to run my generator at night. I asked neighboring campers, who were no less than 75 feet away, if my generator would bother them. Everyone said it would be fine. NO AMENITIES!! Wall SD has a dump station, and a place to get potable water. Amazing view of the Badlands.
