Desert landscape with wild camping just off the paved road that any vehicle can access. No high clearance or 4x4 required. More challenging to access sites further out but we did not explore those as we were 2WD and pulling a 5th wheel. <br />Easy access from I80 just a few miles east of Rock Springs. <br />I would recommend walking your route if there’s been any snow or rain to ensure it is solid enough. Also it seems to be a location where people shoot bottles so check they haven’t done so in the roadway. Other than that, it’s a great overnight spot in dry weather. <br /> <br />July 2022: Place is pretty sketchy. Maybe it’s perfect for a camper, but definitely not to throw a tent down. Bear tracks everywhere, muddy once slightly wet, right off the road with no ensured safety precautions.
