Umpqua National Forest near Chemult OR - Dispersed camping. It’s a hidden gem. A ranger guided us here when we had trouble finding a free spot. It’s tucked behind the county’s sand pit. Paved road off of HWY 138, then turns to very nice dirt road as you enter the trees. Excellent spot. So quiet. Here for 3 days with one other camper parked far away. Many decent level spots. River close by. Tons of fire wood (when fires are allowed) picnic tables at most sites. Bathrooms on site.
