Bodie Mountain Wilderness Study Area near Bridgeport CA - Several primitive campsites along road to Travertine hot springs park. Note that camping is not allowed at Travertine Hot springs, but there are plenty of sites outside of the park entrance. The Road is dirt/ gravel, and not too hard to travel on. Most vehicles shouldn’t have a problem. The sky is dark, and the scenery is beautiful. Nearby points of interest include a number of hot springs and the very well preserved mining ghost town of Bodie, CA. Worth the visit.
