Holleman’s Bend Camping Area

Public land owned by Cordell Hull Lake Army Corps of Engineers.
https://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/Locations/Lakes/Cordell-Hull-Lake/
I have stayed there twice. I did not ask permission, no one there to ask permission of. Out of both times, a ranger drove by once. There are 2 ports-potti, which may or may not have toilet paper. Plenty of picnic tables, and places to put your trash. Weekend fishermen like this place. There may be Verizon service. There is not AT&T nor T-Mobile. I was the only one there, most of the time. There is no dump station, no electric, no water.

The coordinates are accurate. Many, in the reviews, claim that it is a boat ramp. Boat ramp is further down the road. Those that camped at the boat ramp, missed the turn into this Boondocking campground location.

If you go in at night, walk the grass before you drive off the gravel drive. There are big boulders buried in the ground which could damage a rig that has low ground clearance. Plenty of places for low rigs to go, but you need to walk the grass lawn to learn where yours should not go.

Level of confidence the site is free: Certain - Confirmed with a sign or by owner / agency / website.
Toilets nearby: None
4X4 or high clearance required: No
Cell service available: No
Park pass or permit required: No
Showers nearby: No
Potable water nearby: No
Type of property: Other public land
