Site Details

Big Dominguez

Established BLM campground with about 9 sites. 11 miles of dirt road, but any small vehicle can make it. A creek runs through the area, and several hikes start here as well. Some sites require that you drive thru the creek, but it’s usually shallow. Lots of shade trees. I suggest don’t come on a Friday or Saturday night as it can get crowded then. About .3 miles before the campground, on the uphill side is a pipe with water flowing out from a spring. I’ve seen people fill drinking water jugs with it, but I’d probably boil it before drinking it. I believe the campground is open from May - October.
Do not use Apple Maps to navigate here as it misses the turn off and sends you to a hike.

Level of confidence the site is free: Certain - Confirmed with a sign or by owner / agency / website.
Toilets nearby: Vault
4X4 or high clearance vehicles: No
Cell service available: No
Park pass or permit required: No
Showers nearby: No
Potable water nearby: Unknown
Type of property: BLM (Bureau of Land Management)
