Numerous forest service dry camping locations all around the area. Some locations are right next to the Salt River. Most locations require driving on loose gravel or sandy washes, although there are some places accessible to 2WD. Don’t come in the summer; too hot. Best time is fall through spring. Vault toilets at various paved parking lots. Flash floods can come through here so beware of the weather conditions.
