Flagler Reservoir

This is the Flagler Reservoir, there are multiple sites (10+ish) all around the reservoir. The reservoir is completely dry. A great place to watch birds, and sunsets. There are two vault toilets (1 on each side). This is free camping, per sign, I have stayed here multiple times within the past couple years. Take the Flagler exit, then first R at circle, the paved road turns to a good dirt county road for about a mile to the park. Lots of room to turn around (if you need to), I have seen 30+ ft rigs camping here. There is a dumpster at the first (West side) toilets.

July 2023: East entrance closed with sign that says authorized vehicles only. West entrance by the restrooms was open but the road back to the campsites also had an authorized vehicles only sign blocking the road. I probably could’ve chances staying in the lot by the restrooms but it seemed extra sketchy and I didn’t want to get a knock in the middle of the night to move. Had to go to the La Quinta Inn in Limon because the truck stops were full. The La Quinta has rv parking and my combined 49ft of truck/TT fit fine.

Level of confidence the site is free: Certain - Confirmed with a sign or by owner / agency / website.
Toilets nearby: Vault
4X4 or high clearance required: No
Cell service available: No
Park pass or permit required: No
Showers nearby: No
Potable water nearby: No
Type of property: Other public land
