Free dry camp in Mojave National Preserve, CA easily accessed off I-15. Flat and level, only a few hundred feet off paved Kelbaker Road but far enough to be quiet especially at night. Great stargazing even though the lights of Baker are visible on horizon in distance. One fire ring. Sort of on a little rise with views out over the desert. Not amazing but good for a night. Best for small RVs, vans, and cars. The dirt access road to get to the site heads north off the sharp bend in Kelbaker.
