Sequoia National Forest near Springville CA - Paved narrow highway deep in the south sierras from 395 in eastern side to the Kern River on the west end. Eastern side best areas start at Kennedy Meadows then immediately cross the PCT. Then look for side roads a few paved over next 30 miles. RV’s in a few areas, just of pavement. Trailhead roads mostly 2wd fine for most my full size van made it fine. North side of highway trails lead into NP and wilderness areas. South more OHV areas. Water sparse season can be long depending on snow.
