The parking is a potholed gravel strip between the highway pavement and a highway metal guardrail along the edge of the cliff overlooking the beach. There’s no trail access to the beach far below. This spot is heavily used year-round for overnight parking, including by many who return here nightly for days and days in a row. As a result there’s increasing amounts of trash and human waste here. Largely because of the heavy use and related abuse of sites like this along the Oregon coast, the Oregon Dept of Transportation has been signing more and more spots like this “No Overnight Parking” in recent years. So don’t assume this spot will be available into the future.”
